Franklin MacDonald (born April 8, 1985 in Sydney, Nova Scotia) is a Canadian ice hockey defenceman currently playing for EHC Black Wings Linz of the Erste Bank Eishockey Liga.
MacDonald spent three seasons with the Halifax Mooseheads of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League before turning pro in 2006 and signing with the Florida Panthers. Although he never played in the NHL he split his tenure with the AHL's Rochester Americans and the ECHL's Florida Everblades over three seasons.
On July 31, 2009, MacDonald moved to Austria and signed with EBEL team, EHC Black Wings Linz.[1]
